Although a strong background in math is important to understanding the language of the atmosphere through the study of dynamics, many equations in meteorology require a computer to solve. Programming and software development is a key tool I use to investigate science questions through research and develop tools for teaching. I often hope to pass on this passion of using programming to satisfy my curiosity to students. Below are a list of programs I have worked on and use for a variety of applications.
